I ♥ Florida

FloridaDon’t know about you, but Florida is just one of those places I can’t help but love.

It’s not just some of the crazy laws out there that make me laugh but love it just that little bit more, but obviously the sunshine too – and how close practically the whole State is to the sea. It gets some crazy thunderstorms though.

But one other thing I like about Florida is their lottery. And anyone who lives in the State will know our old friend the pink flamingo from the Florida lottery logo. I’ve got a feeling he has a name, but it escapes me right now (is it Wally, or have I just completely made that up!?). Anyway, he got a makeover for their 25th anniversary and now looks like a much happier flamingo – perhaps he got a good result on the Lotto draw.

I know there’s a lot of confusion about some of the games they run, according to lottery-clubs.com, so I thought I’d put up a few pointers to help out with that.

In terms of balancing odds and prize money, I’d say either the main Lotto game or Lucky Money are the best.

But I know a lot of people can’t help but be tempted by the huge prizes you can get with the big Powerball and Mega Millions games. But those fellas have some seriously tough odds. Just check out these Florida Powerball questions. As they put it – those are odds are “pretty darn tough” – they also give you some pointers for how to improve your chances of winning too. So look out for those.

Finally, here’s a nice picture of a flamingo – it’s not Wally (or whatever his name is), but it’s definitely a flamingo and it’s pink:

Confused by Lottery Game Maths?

This gets a lot of people confused, and I’m not surprised because the maths when it comes to any odds is not the easiest in the world.

euro mathsYou’d also be forgiven for thinking they sometimes make it more complicated just so you can’t quite figure it out easily yourself… 🙂

But the main lottery games that interest me are the big EuroMillions game, and the UK Lotto too. Which if you compare the odds of winning EuroMillions vs Lotto you might be surprised to find who wins! Even though they changed the ticket price not so long ago too.

If you’re still confused by the maths though and want to know more on figuring it out – see the lottery maths here. They have a simple calculator that will tell you your odds of winning. It is something you can work out yourself, particuarly if you have a few spreadsheet skills, but it’s not that straightforward so an odds calculator to help with the lottery maths is pretty useful.

There’s actually a neat way to not exactly ‘beat’, but greatly improve these odds though, and that’s by playing with a EuroMillions syndicate online. It’s one of my ‘secret weapons’, and according to lotterysyndicatereviews.co.uk is pretty much one of the only genuine ways you can increase your chances. The rest of the stuff you read online is a bunch of crazy fake-out rubbish.

Sure you do have to share if you play this way, but who cares when the prize is as big as it gets with EuroMillions! Even after you share that prize with 50 other people you’re still going to be a multi-millionaire. Yes please.

Funny!

Moving with the times… 🙂
